Gifts For Your Groom... That Don't Suck!

Gifts for your groom that don't suck

Sick of the traditional groom's gifts like tie clips, cuff links and watches? Check out my list of stuff he will actually be excited to receive! Sure, these might not be the most traditional “wedding” gifts but they sure will make him smile! A lot of these would also make great birthday presents for your groom as well!

Full disclosure, some of the links I have provided, I make a small commission on (at no cost to you!) when you purchase from them! However, I never advertise for products unless I love them and fully believe in them!

1. An Experience or Tickets.

Does he love the Green Bay Packers? Maybe he would love to rock out with ZZ Top! Or maybe you have the adventurous guy who would love nothing more than to skydive! Guess what...You can give him that! Long gone are the days of watch and cuff link giving...Give your guy something that is truly personal to the two of you!

2. A Sexy Boudoir Photo Shoot

Frame one, or make a photo book of all of them. You can really let loose and have some fun here. Most boudoir sessions will be shot with a straight, female photographer, to help you be the most comfortable you can be. They are trained to make you feel open and safe. These shoots can be a lot more tasteful than you might imagine and can actually be quite fun to shoot!

3. An Amazon Echo or Other Nifty Gadget

An Amazon Echo (in case you're in the dark ages) is an awesome little gadget that sits on your counter and can do amazing things. I won't go into all the amazing things it can do, but let's just say it's like Siri, only better and for your house. (Also, an Echo Dot is like a smaller, cheaper version of its big sister!) 4. An Engraving on His Wedding Band

This one you will have to be a bit sneaky with, since you'll need his ring (likely for a day or more!) but how sweet would it be to engrave your initials, the date or a cute little saying on his wedding band for him?! I think that would make his ring that much more special!

5. A Gift card to His Favorite Store

Does he love sports? Try Dick's Sporting Goods! Is he a book lover? Of course Barnes and Noble is the way to go! Does he love to eat? Darden gift cards are good at multiple restaurants! (Hello date night!) Not sure what to get? Who doesn't love a good old Amazon gift card or Amazon Prime Membership!

6. An Autograph

Is he a huge sports fan? There's an awesome website called sportsmemorabilia.com that you buy autographed stuff from! Maybe he's more into music than sports... check out this section of Ebay dedicated to music memorabilia!

7. Something Silly

If your groom has an awesome sense of humor, why be so serious? Find something that is totally him. Check out this Newly Wed Instruction Manual, or this Motion Sensor Toilet Light or even these funny Friends-themed mugs!

8. Something You Know He's Always Wanted

Maybe there's something out there that you know he's always wanted but would probably never get for himself, such as a nice camera, a new golf club or even a 4 wheeler!

9. On A Budget? Write a Love Letter!

If money is tight (and who are we kidding, money is always tight when you're having a wedding!) your gift doesn't need to be some huge, elaborate thing. Write your groom a letter from the heart, telling him how lucky you are and how you can't wait to spend the rest of your life with him. Trust me, that might be worth more to him in the long run then anything else on this list. Bonus points: later, when money isn't as tight, you can buy a nice frame and keep it forever!
